Basic Informations
You can use Matrix Messenger on your workstation computer as well as on several devices at the same time.
To do this, you must first download the Matrix client Element, which is used to communicate with the Matrix servers (Step 1). Once Element has been installed, you will sign in using your UniAccount. (Step 2).

End-to-end encryption ensures that the messages you write are encrypted on your device and can only be decrypted on the recipient's device. This makes it impossible for even the operator to read your messages. We therefore recommend the use of end-to-end encryption (see video).
In order to be able to access your messages on various end devices, they must be verified by a key backup. Verification or decryption via a security phrase/security key is required every time you start a new session on a new end device.
If you do not use a key backup, you will no longer have access to your messages when you sign in again. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you set up a security phrase immediately after signing in (Step 3).
