We have compiled some information for you about your email address, the ILIAS learning platform, and other services.
What's your UniMail?
Your UniMail is the email address you use for everything related to your studies, e.g., for communicating with lecturers or examination offices. All important messages from HISinOne, the ILIAS learning platform, etc. are also sent exclusively to this address.
It is: UniAccount@email.uni-freiburg.de (and also: firstname.lastname@email.uni-freiburg.de).

How do I find my courses on the ILIAS learning platform?
First, log in to ILIAS with your UniAccount.
- In some courses, you will be automatically registered by the instructors. You can find these under “My courses and groups.”
- Some instructors send invitation emails. In this case, simply follow the link in the email.
- However, you will usually have to search for the course rooms yourself. To do this, you can use the search function (magnifying glass in the top right corner) or click through the magazine. You will receive the password for the course from the responsible instructor.
Once you have joined a course, it will appear under “My courses and groups.” Courses that you add to your favorites will be displayed on your overview page immediately after logging in.

What other IT services are available for students?
Quite a lot ;-)
For example, Wi-Fi in all university buildings, a printing service in the computer center, several PC pools, Matrix Messenger for secure communication, various software licenses, and much more.
