Update to ILIAS 8 - 18.09.2024
On 18.09.2024 we will update all ILIAS platforms to version 8. ILIAS will probably not be available on this day from 09:00 - 18:00.
New features and changes:
- Integration of the matrix chat in ILIAS courses and groups incl. automatic user synchronization
- Online whiteboards in ILIAS as new course object "Whiteboard"
- Deactivation of direct embedding of HTML content and formatting, Javascricpt and iframe embedding

If you can't log in, can't find your course or if you as a lecturer have questions about creating and designing course rooms: In our support area for lecturers and for students we have many instructions and a forum for questions.

Services and addresses for students

edacticLab - a qualification and consultation for lecturers (in German only)
In the edacticLab, you can develop a teaching concept based on your own questions, familiarize yourself with key topics in digital teaching, and prepare for calls for proposals and the acquisition of third-party funding. In April 2024, a new round will start with various self-study and workshop offerings. Registration for individual modules or the entire program is now possible. HTML and Javascript embedding will be deactivated on Thursday, 08.08.2024
In preparation for the update of ILIAS to version 8, the embedding of HTML formatting, iframe embedding and Javascript code on ILIAS course, learning module and question pages has been deactivated.
ILIAS 8 no longer supports these functions. Please check your courses and content and switch to other variants of embedding (e.g. videos via ViMP or Panopto, YouTube videos via media objects in the page editor) or formatting
