What are the Settings on your personal desktop?
As with other internet platforms, you can make personal settings on the ILIAS learning platform. You can find this option "Settings" by clicking on your initials / your avatar in the top right corner of the blue banner. Some of these settings have been preset for all users of the platform by the administrators. These preset options are usually based on the usual usage behaviour of many users.
Which options can I influence with the Settings?
- General Settings: Here, you can influence which page is presented to you as your start page when you log in to the ILIAS learning platform, for example. The "Overview" is currently activated on the central learning platform as a standard, since this choice summarises the most important information immediately for many users.
- Mail Settings: In the mail settings you can centrally determine to which official mail address your mails received via the ILIAS learning platform will be forwarded. At the moment the official mail address used by the University of Freiburg is stored here by default.
Example: Mail settings “Store Signature”
In the Mail settings, you can centrally define for example a signature for your mails which you send via the ILIAS learning platform. This can be very helpful in communicating with your students and ensures a professional appearance.
