Survey
What is a Survey?
The "survey" is an ILIAS object that can be integrated into a course room via the "Add New Item" button. The survey is a good tool to comprehensively ask for moods and to publish them anonymously. With the help of the survey, you can get feedback on your ILIAS course room, for example.
What can the Survey be used for?
For example, the survey can be used for the following scenarios:
- Testing previous knowledge e.g. to adjust the course content
- Obtaining feedback on individual thematic units or presentations
- Reviewing one's own course concept
- "One-Minute-Paper" - collecting the most significant findings or everyday examples related to theory / phenomenon (via free text questions)
Please note:
Due to data protection regulations, ILIAS is not approved for course evaluations that are intended to serve quality assurance according to the State University Law (LHG) or the evaluation regulations of the University of Freiburg. These evaluations are carried out via the platform "EvaSys". Please contact the Central Evaluation Service.
Example:
For groups of students with different levels of previous knowledge, it can help to do a survey before the course begins. This helps to get an impression, which (required) previous knowledge the students actually have or to what extent the level of knowledge on individual topics is possibly very heterogeneous. This enables you to check the contents of your lecture or seminar and, if necessary, to adjust some points in order to reach all students.
How does it work?
The following tutorials describe functionality and procedures in detail:
