Item Group
What is an Item Group?
The "item group" is an ILIAS object that you will find under the heading "Organization". With the help of the item group, you can structure the materials you have included in your ILIAS course (files, folders, groups etc.). Here the item group works like a digital paper clip that can display several pages or in this case "ILIAS objects" bundled together.
What can the Item Group be used for?
The item group is an important element if you want to bring more structure into your ILIAS course. In virtual course and learning rooms, it is important that they are easy to understand and clearly structured for the members / students of the course. With the item group, you now have the possibility to bundle your objects in a sensible way.
Example: Creating subject areas
For example, you can combine all objects that belong to the same subject area into one item group (see below). However, there are no general limits to what you can group and how you can group them.
Planning the grouping
- File: Guide for the preparation of seminar papers
- Interactive video: Tips and tricks for correct quoting
- Link list: References to literature administration programs and on which service pages of the university these are offered
