What is a File?
The "file" is an ILIAS object that can be used to upload all kinds of files - PDF documents, Word documents, LaTex documents and many more - on the ILIAS learning platform.
What can the File be used for?
The ILIAS object "file" can mainly be used to provide learning materials or information material of all kinds.
Example: literature lists, work instructions, presentation slides
With the help of files, you can provide information for students for your courses (lectures, seminars, practical laboratory courses, etc.). Depending on the type and content of the course, this can be a variety of materials:
- A lecture script (in the form of a PowerPoint presentation / a PDF document / and much more)
- Literature lists for the literature accompanying the lecture or seminar
- Work instructions for the preparation of written work (homework / protocols / etc.)
