Configuring your personal settings
You can configure various settings in your chat window and in your profile. We have selected a few options for you and describe them in more detail below.
Click on your name in the top left corner and select All settings to open the settings.
Under ...
- General – You can select another available language or add a profile picture, among other options. You cannot currently change your display name. Although the option to “Set a new account password” appears here, you should not make any changes as your sign-in data are linked to your UniAccount.
- Appearance – You can customize the design.
- Notifications – You can determine how you want to be notified of new messages. For example, you can enable desktop notifications to be informed about incoming messages. You can also enable/disable notification sounds.
- Preferences – You can choose whether or not to send read receipts.
- Security & Privacy – Here you will find your session ID and an overview of encryption.
Other settings include the following options, for example:
- Under “Keyboard” you will find an overview of keyboard shortcuts.
- Call and video settings can be configured under “Voice & Video”.
- Under “Sessions” you will find an overview of your (un)verified sessions.
