Learning Progress
For data protection reasons, the learning progress is only available to a very limited extent on the central learning platform of the University of Freiburg. The learning progress of individual course members cannot be viewed.
What is a Learning Progress?
ILIAS offers so-called learning progress reports in individual learning objects as well as in complete courses or groups. They are intended to give instructors of individual courses the possibility to track how far the processing of learning objects has progressed.
Learners can also view their own learning progress status for an object.
Learning progress reports reflect a learner's processing status on specific learning objects. This status can be defined by a manual entry or calculated by ILIAS according to various criteria (e.g. collected usage times). The processing status has four characteristics with associated symbols:

How is the Learning Progress configured?
Learning progress reports can be requested for a number of learning object types (though not for all). Teachers can edit the learning progress settings in objects, i.e. change the modalities under which a learning progress status is determined by ILIAS. The desired mode is configured in the tab "Learning progress" in the submenu "Settings".
The overview on the right shows which modes are available in certain object types for the collection of learning progress data.
Learning progress reports can be called up in different representations in the "Learning progress" tab in each case. Learning progress can also be used to regulate access to further learning objects using defined preconditions.
In addition to learning progress reports, there are also other functionalities that can be used to collect and assess user performance, namely the competences management of ILIAS and the functionality of badges.

How does it work?
